ESP Conservada en el Museo de Valladolid, representa a la diosa Isis, reconocible por el carácterístico nudo isíaco, ya que carece de brazos y cabeza. Sus atributos principales, el sistro y la sítula, estarían en sus manos. De origen egipcio, su culto se expandió en época helenísitca por toda lel mundo griega y, posterioremente al romano. Se desconoce el origen de la escultura, creyéndose que puediera venir de Italia en el s. XVII o de un hallazgo durante las obras de la Catedral.
ENG Located in the Museum of Valladolid, represents the goddess Isis, recognisable by the characteristic isiacal knot, as she has no arms or head. Her main attributes, the sistrum and the sytula, would be found on her hands. Of Egyptian origin, her cult spread in Hellenistic times throughout the Greek world and, later, to the Roman. The origin of the sculpture is unknown, and it is thought that it either came from Italy in the XVII century or found during the construction of the Cathedral.
